⥉Please click on the film Posters to see samples of Ricardo Music Studios work creating film scores in context. My film compositions tend to have a classical leaning, a bit of jazz piano swing feel, a touch of big orchestra, and a pinch of eerie other worldly sound design manipulation. I’ve had the pleasure of being asked to compose a wide range of different music styles so if you don’t find what your looking for email me for a relevant sample for your projects. This is a classically contemporary piano piece lead by an organic heavy piano pedal noise and the sounds of ticking clocks and bombs going off in the distance. Created for the play Constellations helmed by Theatregarden.

A whimsical classical waltz piece written for the Vancouver premiere of the Broadway hit Constellations. It is both a musical and thematic conclusion conveying the journey that the characters experience throughout.

Another piece from Constellations playing on the themes of time going forwards and backwards as the actors blend between different realities. It uses the changing of gears the ticking of a clock to convey this.

This piece is the culmination and introduction of sound design and composing motifs that are played throughout. Like the pieces after this one it plays with time at an accelerated frantic reverse pace.

A metaphorical half improtu jazz piano piece written to convey the feelings of bondage, suffering, and struggle.

An eerie piece written exclusively with the boomwhackers available. It is a discordant yet melodic piece signifying exclusion, passion, community.

This piece comes in waves like a spiritual awakening. It represents healing in the face of our fears, blending narration and physical theatre to tell its story.

This piece is original latin poetry on the backdrop of triumphant soundscape, physical theatre, and a haunting sonic gravitas.
